FAQ
Questions, answered.
Everything you might want to know before reaching out. Still wondering something? The free consultation is the perfect place to ask.
Do you offer therapy sessions both in-person and online?+
Yes! I offer both in-person therapy sessions in Kelowna, BC at my office on Dickson Ave, and virtual counselling for adult clients located anywhere in British Columbia (BC).
What is the first appointment like, and do I need a referral?+
The first appointment is simply a relaxed, confidential conversation where you can share what brought you to seek support. You do not need a doctor's referral to book an appointment.
Do you have experience in certain issues, like OCD and anxiety?+
Yes, I am a Psychotherapist and Registered Social Worker who specializes in working with adults (18+) who are navigating anxiety, OCD, phobias, trauma, and life transitions.
Do you work with children or teens?+
My practice is adults only — 18 and older. I'm no longer taking on youth or teen clients. If you're looking for support for someone under 18, your family doctor or a local youth mental health service is a good place to start.
How long does counselling take?+
The duration of therapy depends entirely on your goals. Some clients feel better after a few sessions focused on a specific issue using CBT therapy, while others prefer longer-term support.
What are your session fees, and are your services covered by extended health benefits in BC?+
The fee for a 50-minute session is $160, and the fee for an 80-minute session is $240. Services are covered by most extended health benefits plans in British Columbia.
What does a Registered Social Worker Psychotherapist do?+
A registered social worker provides professional psychotherapy and support to individuals, couples, and families, using a holistic approach to address emotional and psychological challenges.
Do you offer a free consultation?+
Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.
What payment methods do you accept?+
I accept payment via credit card, e-transfer, and cash, and offer a receipt for billing to your provider.
